Air Force destroy LTTE training facility and Radar post in Wanni
Air Force fighter jets had successfully carried out two bombing missions targeting two well identified camps of LTTE terrorists located in Wanni region this morning, said by the Media Centre for National security (MCNS). Air Force had targeted an LTTE training facility and a Radar location in Kilinochchi.
Air Force Spokesman Wing Commander Andrew Wijesooriya had told the defence.lk that the first mission was launched around 6.25.a.m. targeting a training facility located inside a jungle patch at Kalmadukulam, in North-East of Iranamadhu.
The second mission had been launched at 6.35.a.m. targeting a Radar location in the Valaipadu area, South of Poonaryn, Defence .lk reports. Wing Commander Wijesooriya had said that the targets had been positively identified through human intelligence and verified by air surveillance. The Kfir and F-7 fighter jets had carried out the missions jointly and the targets were successful, the defence sources confirmed.
